Alex Moss is back with a special on the road podcast from the opening weekend of the first WDF World Championship at Lakeside!

Co-host Alex Moss and guest co-host Matthew Kiernan are back with a new episode ahead of the WDF World Championship.

First, Alex and Matthew start the show with an overall look ahead to the long-awaited first WDF World Championship, and discuss how important this first championship is for the organisation.

Then, Leonard Gates (13:37) calls in before flying over to the UK to play in his first steel tip World Championship next week. The American talks through his early career as a baseball professional, before switching to darts, and his hopes for Lakeside.

Next, Alex and Matthew continue their Lakeside preview by focusing on the men's draw, discussing whether the bookmakers have it right with Connor Scutt as the 6/1 favourite, and also pick out their ties of the first round.

First, Alex and Burton look back on the weekend's events in Minehead, including Danny Noppert's run to his first PDC televised title and Michael Smith's latest major final defeat.

Then, we turn our attention to the Lakeside and Neil Duff (16:06) calls in ahead of making his debut in the WDF World Championship next month. Neil talks through his career, from starting to play in his 30s and making the World Masters quarter-finals in 2019, to his recent successes on the WDF circuit and going to Lakeside as the fifth seed in the men's event.
